Angelica tree

Aralia spinosa

Price: €21.95

Aralia are small trees or large shrubs with interesting 'architectural' leaves and very thorny stems. Striking and unusual, they are deciduous, with green leaves. The good autumn colour coincides with sprays of creamy white flowers. Aralias are fully hardy, but they should be planted out of strong winds. The branches are covered in small thorns, so not for a spot that you brush past. A most unusual plant for anyone who likes plants with a striking shape and foliage. Plant in moist but well-drained soil or sandy soil, in sun or dappled shade. Mature height and spread 5-8 m. 10 litre container, approx 125-50 cms tall.
