A most unusual flowering groundcover. An attractive creeping plant which grows close to or on the ground, with masses of tiny blue flowers in summer. It prefers moist soil but is tolerant of most conditions once established. It can also grow in sun or shade. It makes an interesting trailing plant for a container in shadier areas. Frequenty planted in paving cracks or as an alternative to a lawn - but be warned, you need to be vigilant about weeding if establishing a solid carpet. Plant 9-10 plants per square metre for a ground cover and top dress the soil in between with an organic mulch such as Gee-up or home made compost. Small 7cm pots. Plants displayed on this website are not necessarily in stock in each of our shops.
