Strawberry tree, compact form

Price: €11.95
Current stock: 4

A compact form of the native Killarney strawberry tree, growing more like a bush, reaching a maximum height and spread of 3 x 3 m after ten years. Like the larger form, it has small red edible fruit and bell-shaped white flowers in late summer and autumn, and glossy, evergreen leaves. An all-around, attractive plant which requires mildly acidic to acidic soil, full sun or light shade and moist, well-drained soil. Great for a container, but use an ericaceaous, peat-based compost. Bushy,40cm tall plants grown in Co. Kilkenny a 3 litre container. Plants displayed on this website are not necessarily in stock in each of our shops.
