An excellent plant for an evergreen garden hedge. It has glossy green leaves with dark red stems and is exceptionally hardy and resilient. It is most often clipped as a hedge or windbreak, and is suited to most sites, being tolerant of sun or light shade, and soil ranging from moist to well-drained. These plants are ideal for anyone wanting to plant in larger numbers or to establish a long hedge. Plant 2- 3 plants per metre. Larger plants can be planted at a wider spacing. Clip annually in late summer. Left unclipped they grow to be handsome trees many metres in height. Keep watered when establishing, and free from weeds at the base. Small: 20-30cms tall in a 9cm potMedium: 2-3ft tall in a 3L pot; Large: 4-5ft tall plants in a 7.5L pot. Please note, items displayed on this website may not be available in each of our shops.
