Bay laurel standards, three sizes

Classic bay laurel (Laurus nobilis), trained as 'standards'. This means a clear stem with a ball at the top. Often used at the front door or as an evergreen feature in a formal bed. Can be planted in sun or shade. If planted in a pot, use good quality compost such as John Innes no 3 mixed with a multi-purpose compost and choose a pot that is large enough to keep the pla t stable even in wind. Feed monthly with a liquid feed to keep leaves green and healthy. Water weekly in summer and fortnightly in winter if kept in a pot. Trim to shape once per year in late summer. Top quality Belgian-grown plants. Container size varies with plant size.
