Hydrangea arborescents 'Limelight' / 'Limelight' hydrangea
Cone-shaped, lime-green flowers on this beautiful, easy-to-grow shrub. The flowers, first appearing in June, are lime green, fading to creamy white, then pale pink in autumn and finally brown over the winter. Plants can be pruned back hard in early winter (ie down to 30-40cms) or be allowed to grow to their natural height, which is up to 2.5 metres. Cutting back encourages larger flowers. For sun or light shade and moist, fertile, well-drained soil. This hydrangea makes an excellent cut flower.
Irish-grown plants, 20-30cm, 3 litre pot, 80-100cm in height. Plants may not have flowers or leaves when sold and appear to be bare twigs if purchased in winter.
Generally available in our Monkstown shop. Due to the size, weight and fragility of this plant, these plants can only be delivered in County Dublin.
