Betula utilis 'Jacquemontii' / Himalayan birch
This is the 'extra white' birch that people sometimes call a silver birch. This birch, correctly called the Himalayan birch, has the whitest bark of all birch. On young plants the twigs and stems are not yet white, but as the bark matures it turns brilliant white. Fast-growing, medium-sized deciduous trees that grow well in almost all environments, making it a very adaptable plant. Great for city and suburban gardens because of its trouble-free qualities. It does not take significant light, does no harm to foundations or walls. Much loved by architects and designers for its clean white stems and airy form. It makes an impressive specimen in winter too, when its pure white bark is at its most visible.
Plants are 200-220cm tall, 12.5 litre pot, Irish-grown.
Plants are generally available in our Monkstown shop. Because of the size and weight of this item, we can only deliver this item in County Dublin.
