Magnolias make wonderful trees for small to medium-sized gardens, offering interesting foliage, beautiful flowers in early summer, good autumn colour and general heardiness. The variety 'Merrill' is free-flowering, with masses of star-shaped white-to-pale-pink flowers. It's a smaller variety than many, making it suitable for a small to medium-sized garden.Slow-growing, it can grow to 4-6 metres in height, with a spread of up to 4 metres. Plant in most locations in fertile, well-drained soil, preferably in neutral to acid soil. The flowers have a delicate fragrance.
Irish-grown plants, 80-100cm, 7.5 litre pot, 80-100cm in height.
