He was an accomplished etcher as well as watercolourist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBorn in Letterkenny in 1875, he and his wife emigrated to London in 1932. Prior to that he exhibited a number of times with the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin. He produced a number of hand coloured, limited edition etchings of landscapes from around Ireland. Always meticulously detailed and finely executed, they provide something of a fascinating record of the Irish landscape in the early years of the twentieth century.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis landscape watercolour shows what might be described as a 'typical' western Irish landscape. A small dirt road leading to two cottages folded into the side of the hill.\u003cem\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: small;\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e20.5 x 30 cm excluding frame and mount. Watercolour on paper \/ card.  Signed bottom left.
