Anonymous, Bluebell wood

A stunning demonstration of skill in this 'period piece' made entirely from thread. We are not expert enough to know the exact term: is it needlepoint or embroidery? In any case, this late 19th or early 20th century depiction of a bluebell wood is truly beautiful. The sheen of the fabric depicts light and shade, and the colours are vibrant and exquisite and masterfully excecuted. In its original hardwood frame and glass. It is in excellent condition. We do recommend that it is not displayed in a bright location and is kept awy from sunlight.
