We have long been fans of deckchairs since we found a pair in a skip about 20 years ago. A simple design that dates from the early years of the twentieth century, they fold up flat, are extremely comfortable and denote a certain type of old-fashioned relaxation. They were popular on deck on the early ocean liners, where first class passengers would lay back and take in the sun.
The deckchairs we sell are much the same design as they always were. Made in Portugal, they use FSC certified eucalyptus and sturdy, heavy cotton that can be easily removed, washed or replaced. These one have the benfit of arms, which makes them much easier to get in and out of. Be careful not to pinch your fingers when closing, and check that the fabric is firmly in place... most of all, enjoy.
