Anonymous, wooden panel with swan and water plants

Large, painted wooden panel, probably dating from the early years of the 20th century. A swan swoops down from a Japanese-inspired tree. Grasses hang over stylised 'waves'. The grain of the wood also ripples and moves throughout the scene. Beautifully painted, highly- stylised yet rich in detail, in the 'Arts & Crafts' style or possibly later, leaning towards Art Deco.

In its original hardwood frame. The wooden panel is a made from a veneered ply or chipboard material, with cross-braces across the back to support it. We would love to know more about this piece - any information is welcome
