Bairbre Duggan, Freesia

Yellow freesias with a vibrant blue-green background. A perfect companion to the other painting of hers in Clare Street, showing freesias picked and dropped into a glass vase. Bairbre is renowned for her still life paintings of flowers, as well landscapes and portraits.

Bairbre Duggan is an Irish artist who now lives in Amsterdam. She studied history of art at Trinity College, followed by fine art at Wackers Academie in Amsterdam, where she now teaches painting and drawing. She also regularly leads painting courses in Ireland. She has been selected on a number of occasions for the Royal Hibernian Academy's (R.H.A.) Annual Exhibition. This is the fourth collection of Bairbre's paintings that we have exhibited at Howbert & Mays in Clare Street. 

Oil on card 28cm x 16cm excluding frame. Signed bottom right. Framed with archival mount and backing and UV protective anti-reflective glass.
