Arthur Buchman (1904-1986), Bridge & Rive scene

Arthur Avia Buchman was Polish painter who spent most of his working life in Northern Ireland. Escaping the war as a Jewish refugee, he worked for a box-making company in Belfast, and played a part in the invention of the pop-up story book and flip-top cigarette box. He was an accomplished painter who was well regarded in amateur and professional circles.
