Conor Gallagher, Late Pink Burst
Conor Gallagher, Late Pink Burst
Conor Gallagher's work uses a diversity of materials such as paint and fillers. Applied with a pallette knife and then scraped multiple times over successive layers, his pieces suggest landscapes and seascapes without depicting specific places or features. Conor is from Sligo, but works and paints in Dublin's north inner city.
This painting is predominantly sky, and as the title suggest, just after sunset. A 'late pink burst' appears high in the sky as the sun burns out in the bottom left. Like many of Gallagher's pieces, this is a west of Ireland coastal landscape.
Dimensions 40 40cm. Signed bottom right.
