Conor Gallagher, Sligo Mountain
Conor Gallagher's work uses a diversity of materials such as paint, glue and builders' fillers. Applied with a pallette knife and then scraped multiple times over successive layers, his pieces suggest landscapes and seascapes without necessarily depicting specific places. This piece seems to show the dramatic rocky slopes of a Sligo mountain with vegetative heath at the base, almost sliding downhill
Oil and mixed media. Dimensions (excluding frame) 65cm wide x 70cm high. Framed with museum glass.
