100cm diameter corten steel water bowl. Including water in your garden is good for wildlife and adds an attractive, calm element. Place in planting, on gravel or on paving (though note, water run-off from the metal may stain some surfaces). Made from 3mm thick steel that develops a characteristic rust-red patina over time.

Corten steel is a hard, durable metal that is also known as weathering steel for its strength and durability. The rust patina develops over several months, so this water bowl is not ideally suited as a bird bath in the short to medium term term. For best results, fill the base of the bowl with rounded pebbles or cobbles, to a depth of approx 8-10cm . Plant with marginal / aquatic plants if desired. This will help to keep the water clean as the rust patina develops.
