George Farrell (1900-1979), Chimney Rock, Mournes

George Farrell specialised in watercolours of rural Irish landscapes, and this small one perfectly captures the wild and remote Mourne mountains in Co Louth. One or two traditional thatched cottages are nesled into the landscape, with smoke from a turf fire coming from the chimney.

Signed botton right. Framed and mounted. Some small scuffs to mount and frame. Drawing itself is in good condition.
