Grass and Perennial Sickle (Asaka)

Serrated Japanese sickle, useful for cutting down perennials, grasses and weeds. Traditionally used in Japan for rice harvesting, where the sharp blade can cut through the grassy stalks with ease.

A sickle such as this makes easy work of cutting down plants at the end of the season. Also useful for clearing grass, bulb foliage or weeds from the base of trees. Especially good at chopping down difficult to manage grassy plants such as Phormium.. Handle is made from solid wood, blade is made from serrated carbon steel. Clean and dry after use and wipe with a drop of oil. Only use a pulling motion when using.

Note, this is a sharp and dangerous tool. Please wear gloves and take great care when using.
