Jane Williams, Tokyo Laundry

West of Ireland landscape, intersected by a clothesline, containing dischcloths, sheets T-shirts and underwear. If you look closely, you'll see that one pair of boxer shorts bears the words TOKYO LAUNDRY on the waistband.  A full moon hangs above in a clear blue sky. As a composition, it encapulates the landscape, culture, contradictions and intertwined activities of life in rural Ireland. Her work has been selected on 4 occasions for inclusion in Royal Hibernian Academy annual exhibition.
