Joel Owen artist artist whose exact identity is unknown. In fact, 'Joel Owen' may be one of several pseudonyms belonging to the same person, who also went as 'F. E. Jamieson' and 'W. Richards', amongst other names. In any case, regardless of the pseudonym used, this artist was highly skilled, and popular in their day, with many of their works being reproduced

Oil on canvas. 40 x 19cm excluding frame. Signed and dated bottom left. In original gilt frame. Small tear in canvas, only slightly visible.
