Margaret Stokes (1915-1996), Snow

Woodcut by Irish artist Margaret Stokes, 1915-1996. Stokes was a well-regarded Dublin artist whose life spanned the majoroty of the 20th century. Known for her works in oil, watercolours and her prints. She was a niece of Mainie Jellet, who also taught her in her youth. She was an art teacher at Alexandra College and exhibited widely throughout her life.
