Olive Henry was an accomplished stained glass artist, photographer, watercolourist and painter who spent much of her working life in Belfast.
She was a founding member of the Ulster Society of Women Artists. She exhibited at the Irish Exhibition of Living Art for several years from 1948, at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin in the early 1940s, as well at the Royal Institute Galleries and with the Society of Women Artists in London.
This painting on paper uses a combination of water colours and oils to produce a startlingly vivid image.
