We don't know who painted this landscape painting, a study of trees, light and sky. The artist's monogram in the bottom right is hard to decipher (it appears like MR or MAR.) To our eye, it seems like an Italian or Spanish landscape, dating perhaps from the mid 20th Century.
In any case, the colours are beautiful and it is well painted in an Impressionist/ pointillist manner. Trees capture the evening light, with two men going for a walk between them.
Signed bottom right. 71cm x 61cm. Excellent condition in new white wooden box frame, unglazed.
