Yellow rattle seeds: freshly harvested for summer & autumn sowing, now available

Freshly harvested, Irish-grown yellow rattle seeds (Rhinanthus major), harvested in Co Wicklow are available again for sowing this summer / autumn 2022. Grown and harvested in Co Wicklow. These are a valuable seed if you are trying to start a natural meadow or an area in your existing lawn where wild flowers will thrive. Yellow rattle, a native Irsh wildflower with small yellow flowers, is considered one of the best plants for the creation of a wildflower meadow.  As a 'semi-parasite' it will diminish the vigour of competing grasses. This allows flowers rather than grasses to flourish. It draws nutrients and moisture away from the competing grasses and allows other species to develop. An annual plant, it is good for pollinators. Purchase them by clicking here...  Also available in our shops in Monkstown, Co Dublin or Clare Street, Dublin 2.
