A small, delicate tree that is most prized for its purple-tinged, fern-like foliage. It is evergreen, producing small, pale yellow, fluffy flowers in March and April. It is best in a sheltered location, somewhere sunny, well-drained and preferably in a mild area without severe frosts. Around Dublin, trees can grow up to 4 metres in height and generally keep an upright, single-stemmed shape. These trees can blow over in strong winds, so ideally they will be protected from these. The crown can be kept trimmed, which keeps them compact and encourages sturdiness. Suitable for a small shelterd garden.
Irish-grown plants, 150-170cm tall, 7.5 litre pot.
Generally available in our Monkstown shop. Due to the size and weight of this plant, it can only be delivered in County Dublin.
