One of our best-selling bamboos over several years. 'Asian Wonder' bamboo grows to be a dense, non-invasive, clump-forming bamboo. It prefersfertile, moist but well-drained soil, and some shelter from cold, drying winds, as the leaves can get scorched. The upright canes have a beautiful reddish-purple hue when they emerge, fading to olive green.
As will all bamboos, keep regularly watered after planting. Ideal as a screening plant or in a large container out of strong winds. If planted in a container, use compost with the addition of topsoil / John Innes, as well as well-rotted manure. Not recommended for a balcony or highly exposed area. Max height approx 4 metres
Plants are +/- 100cm tall, Irish-grown, 7 litre pots.
Due to their size and weight, plants can only be delivered in County Dublin. Plants are delivered in our own van. Plants on this website are often available in our Monkstown shop. Please allow up to one week for delivery.
