Ciara Gormley, Meadow 3 (2025)

Ciara Gormley lives and works in Co. Waterford. Her work regularaly features the trees and meadows of her local environment. Harmoniously chosen colours produce energetic, breezy and beautiful works, reflecting brief moments and often 'negelected' views. She exhibits at a number of galleries in Ireland and the UK.

This painting is one of four new pieces by Ciara Gormley. It is part of the second collection of her work that we have been lucky enough to exhibit in Clare Street. A sort of 'close-up landscape' of tall grasses and wild flowers in late summer.

"I try to paint the way light and colours are constantly shifting, to capture that life in the painting, the way different details catch your eye and also to give shape to the things that are felt and not necessarily seen." The Gloss magazine, interview with Penny McCormick, 2023.
