Killiney Bay, as seen from Whiterock beach towards Bray Head. The scene looks remarkably similar to the way it does today, though missing many of the buildings.

He lived for a time (1870-1876) in Ballybrack and later in life became good friends with the English artists Dante Gabriel Rossetti and William Morris. Dean & Woodward designed a number of houses in Killiney, as well as the nearby Rathmichael Church, on which projocts Rogers most likely worked.
He exhibited his worked in a couple of different locations, including the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Exhibition of Fine and Ornamental Arts in Dublin in 1861. The National Gallery of Ireland has one work by Rogers in its collection.
