Traditionally used in Japan for harvesting rice (which is a grass) this small, lightweight tool is ideal for cutting back herbaceous plants such as perennials and grasses. With one hand holding the plant and the other making a pulling motion, it makes light work of cutting down plants at the end of the season. Also useful for clearing grass, bulb foliage or weeds from the base of trees. Serrated blade is 18cm in length. Total length 34cm. Handle is made from poplar wood, blade is made from serrated carbon steel. Clean and dry after use and wipe with a drop of oil. Only use a pulling motion when using. Made in Japan.
