Jeremy Henderson, Border Scan 2 (1988)

Jeremy Henderson (1952-2009) was a Northern Irish artist who spent much of his working life in London. In 1993 he returned to Northern Ireland, where his artistic output was a blend of 'lyrical abstraction' and representation, mainly landscape. 

This semi-abstract dynamic oil painting is meniniscent of grassland, woodland and skies. As Jeremy Henderson said about his own work at this period:

In my paintings the time of day is indeterminable, the weather changeable, something has happened or is about to happen.
