John Innes No 3 compost is generally available in our Monkstown shop, price €8.50 per bag.

Soil-based compost that is ideal for mature plants in pots and containers. At Howbert & Mays, we normally mix John Innes No 3 compost with standard or peat-free potting compost, as well as some Gee-Up, for a more fertile potting mix with better structure, drainage and for healthier plants. John Innes No 3 compost is dense, heavy and peat free, containing grit and natural soil, as well as some natural fertiliser.
