The harsh, white-painted lines of a garden entrance contrast with the soft rolling hills in the distance. A frequent juxtaposition of materials, colours and textures, a contrast of the bleakness of man-made structures with the smooth and colourful beauty of nature.

One of a series of paintings capturing the light, landscape and architecture of Donegal. Painted during 2025. One of 12 paintings that feature in Mary West's 2026 calendar. These paintings were exhibited in our Clare Street location in early December 2025.

Mary West is a well known Dublin artist whose work has been exhibited and sold in Ireland for several decades.
