Niwaki grass sickle
Couldn't load pickup availability
A traditional Japanese sickle. Like all sickles, it is sharp, curved and useful for cutting through grass, nettles, even brambles. We have often used sickles to clear growth from under trees and shrubs - in fact, sickles are one of the best ways of limiting the growth of bindweed and brambles, two plants that can grow up inside trees and shrubs. Sickles are also handy for keeping grass at bay underneath hedges.
Poplar handle. Shirogami white paper steel blade. Total length 400mm. Blade length 165mm. Weight 150g. Made in Japan
Like almost all of our Niwaki tools, generally in stock in our Monkstown and Clare Street (Dublin) shops.
