Niwaki pruning loppers

Powerful pruning loppers, made for heavy-duty pruning jobs. Oak handles, forged carbon steel steel blade, easy action. One of the best loppers we know, that will go on and on working just as you want them to. Note: to avoid damaging the blade, take particular care when cutting old or dried wood that can be very hard. Do not use a twisting movement when cutting.

For cuts up to 2.5cm diameter (approx 1 inch). For bigger branches, you will need a pruning saw. Clean with soap and water or Crean Mate, wipe dry and and apply camellia oil. Sharpen with a Niwaki sharpening stone #1000 or the twin diamond file. If the mechanism becomes loose after prolonged use, give the central rivet a light tap with a hammer to tighten it up.
