Pete Hogan, Lady Miranda (Guinness ship)
Pete Hogan, Lady Miranda (Guinness ship)
A classic river LIffey scene from the 1980s, when Guinness was shipped from its brewery on St James's Gate to the UK on special 'Guinness ship'. The Lady Miranda in the foreground shows the old 'Gasometer' behind it. Both these features of day-to-day Dublin life are no sadly no longer with us. Made in the 1980s and newly reframed by us, this is a unique 'Artists's Proof' etching.
Pete Hogan is a Dublin artist whose street scenes and architectural drawings have documented Dublin life and architecture for almost four decades. He has sailed around the world and is also an accomplished maritime artist.
