Pete Hogan, Two Guinness Ships on the Liffey (1980s)
Pete Hogan, Two Guinness Ships on the Liffey (1980s)
Etching showing two Guinness ships in the river Liffey. In the 1980s it was a familiar sight to see these Guinness ships in the river. In the background can be seen one of the now-gone gasometers, as well as the two towers of the Pidgeon House. A beautiful image that shows an aspect of the day-to-day life of the city in the 1980s.
Pete Hogan is a Dublin artist whose street scenes and architectural drawings have documented Dublin life and architecture for almost four decades. He has sailed around the world and is also an accomplished maritime artist.
