We have planted Pittosporum in many of the gardens we designed and planted for their glossy evergreen foliage, easiness to grow and relatively compact size. The variety 'Irene Patterson' is one of the smaller varieties, with pale-green to white foliage and attractive black stems. Its light foliage can brighten a dark corner, and it can be kept clipped as a mound or allowed to grow to form a small shrub up to 150cm in height. In spring it has tiny fragrant flowers that perfume the air around it. The leaves are almost white in winter and spring, darkening to pale green as they mature over the summer and into autumn. Plant in sun or light shade in almost any soil, including a pot.
Irish-grown plants 40-50cm in height. 5 litre container.
Due to their size and weight, plants can only be delivered in County Dublin. Plants are delivered in our own van. Plants on this website are often available in our Monkstown shop. Please allow up to one week for delivery.
