Terracotta amphora / olive jar, 2 sizes

Traditional north African amphora, hand made in Morocco. Beautifully textured and coloured, each one being slightly different. These two-handled jars were traditionally used for storing olive oil. They have been made in the same way to the same design for thousands of years. They make an excellent garden ornament and can be left outside year round. Made from natural terracotta, each one slighly different. They do not stand upright - they need to lie on their side.

40cm high x 28cm diameter at widest point, 11cm opening at top

50cm high x 38cm diameter at widest point, 11cm opening at top.
